Jasmine Kitty
“Jasmine Kitty” quilt, 24″ x 24″, made in December 2019.
This is a quilt I designed from a photo of our pet Jasmine, the sweetest cat ever. Aren’t her eyes cartoonishly beautiful? She’s a Russian Blue, and the most affectionate cat we’ve ever had.
I had a lot of fun creating the digital illustration, playing with colors.
I used 18 solid fabrics, all Kona Cotton Solids from Sewfinity.
Some of the blocks are really intricate, like these whiskers blocks.

I peeled off the back paper for a couple hours. A bit tedious, but so worth it to get this intricate design.
My favorite part? Her lovey eyes.
